We started the day today by waking up at the early hour of 8:00am. We all packed our stuff up and headed out of the H&H Inn, where we had stayed for the last two nights. After loading all our stuff into the vehicles, we went to the Diner for a nice breakfast. The french toast was especially good. When we finished up breakfast, we drove a short 15 minutes over to the dig site. We made it by about 10:30. We spent the next couple hours digging and found some really cool stuff. I found a full rib and a huge dimetrodon radius (one of the lower arm bones) that belonged to the dimetrodon, India. Other people also found bones, including a lot of dimetrodon fin-spines.
We had a late lunch around 2:00 in the afternoon. After lunch, we went right back to work digging. People found a lot more fin-spines, as well some awesome dimetrodon ribs and teeth. At about 4:30 we left the site and headed back to the lodge. On the way, we decided to make a stop at Sonic to get milkshakes which was yummy. Then we completed the 30 minute drive to the lodge. When we arrived, the guys headed to their house and the girls unpacked and settled back into our rooms in the lodge. After a couple hours of chill time, the guys arrived back at the lodge at around 7:00 and we had dinner. After a great dinner, people started playing pool and hanging out. We also made a nice fire and had a good time sitting outside around it. Eventually, the guys headed back to their house and we all settled down and went to bed, ready for another great digging day tomorrow.
