Day 11

Closing in on the final days of the 2023 Paleo M-term is day 11. As many of you may have already known, students were able to have a wonderful late start to school. Returning from our day on the road a couple extra hours of rest were well appreciated. Thursday started with a wonderful Post Oak car wash. Dare I say, after witnessing the paleo crew washing cars I'd say NHS has some competitors. After traveling through the hill country, encountering the Permian red beds and an occasional slip in the mud our rental cars have definitely seen better days. And so our morning hours were invested in spraying down the outside and wiping down the inside of our modern steeds. Previously covered in Permian grime and Texan insects now shining in their previous glory.

After our lunch break, we were greeted with a timeless cinematic experience: Jurassic Park. Upon the school's most uncomfortable chairs, the paleo students sat at lab tables and accompanied each other in watching this movie.

To conclude the day students and Dr. Salem reminisced about the previous week and recollected our glorious time on the road with the help of a topographic map.
